IMPROVE YOUR LIFE; ONE DAY AT A TIME
IMPROVE THE WORLD; ONE PERSON AT A TIME
BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD (GHANDI)
Changing the world begins with yourself. Most of us believe that the world we live in needs to change for the better. Most of us have tried to change the world by changing other people. The secret to changing our world is to become the change we want to see in the world.
That which you do not have, you cannot give. You cannot give love to others unless you love yourself. You cannot accept others unless you accept yourself. You cannot share knowledge unless you are knowledge. You cannot share wisdom unless you are wisdom.

THE PROTECTION ZONE BEWEEN US AND THE WORLD
For most of us life can be scary at times. To protect ourselves we create a buffer between the world and us. The buffer is external, internal, or a mix of both.
External buffers are fat, desire to please others, and external manifestations of happiness (like giggling). Internal buffers are rational behavior, mind control, willpower, intellectual superiority, and distancing.
THE FATTER WE ARE THE LESS WE NEED TO EAT TO GET FATTER
Is this statement true? YES, unfortunately so.
Once you enter the fat producing spiral you are one step away from a fatal freefall.
A pound of muscle consumes between 75 and 150 calories a day - muscles help the body use up energy.
A pound of fat only needs 3 calories a day - fat doesn’t need a lot of energy to maintain itself.
So now it’s clear why fat attracts more fat.
THE ‘YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT ’MYTH
Does this ring a bell?
This adage circulated for such a long time and has been quoted so many times that its origin is lost. Time to bust this myth. You are a being of indescribable perfection and all that exists is interrelated. You are part of an intricate order and this higher order is part of you. As the Universe is trying to tell us: WE ARE ALL ONE.
We are much more than what we eat as you can read in the blue print of the Lite-Body® method (its philosophy). After you embark on this journey you will realize that which you really are.
THE MYTH ABOUT ‘BEING EITHER A WINNER OR A LOSER’ – THE MYTH OF THE TWO CATEGORIES.
Another myth has been circulating for quite some time about two categories of people. The first category of people includes those who can eat whatever they want and still not gain weight. The second category includes those who put on weight just by breathing in air.
The myth has circulated for such a long time that it got a life of its own and became a multinational strong belief that made millions of victims.
I don’t know about you but according to this myth I am included in the second category. Till now I was not able to find any person included in the first category. The secret of those in the first category is that they monitor and guard their weight ferociously and every time there is a slight increase in their weight they act immediately (they cut out sugar, pasta, bread and alcohol). If I would continue to believe in this myth (which I did till not too long ago), it would lead me to the logical conclusion that there is something wrong with me. This feeling of guilt automatically brings with it a down spiral of negative feelings and emotions. Furthermore, the myth has been reinforced by a myriad of diet books and self-help books that try to convince us that being healthy and slim is just a state of mind. Yeah, Right!
It is now time to bust the myth of the two categories. The truth of the matter is that all the people (with the rare exceptions of those born with genetically or other discrepancies) are born with a sophisticated defense mechanism and thus prepared to face reasonable physical, emotional and mental challenges. However, because of constant toxic bombardment (untrue myths, negative thoughts, rejections, pain, poisonous food, polluted drinks, etc) and lack of all essential foods, we get clogged and our inborn ability to properly defend ourselves gets impaired. This impairment sets us on a permanent defensive mood, which is the number one enemy of our disconnection from our true self and our evolution. Because our inborn defense mechanism becomes obsolete, we learn to build another defense mechanism, which is the fake persona, the social face that we show to the world in order to keep up appearances and to be able to function in the world.
The relationship between the fake persona and food.
The fake persona is the distorted version of who we really are. This implies that its relationship with food is... you guessed right... fake. Depending on the predominant aspect of our fake persona – on a physical, emotional or mental level - there will be all kind of peculiar/fake relationships with food.
The “obsessive diet” eaters – are people who don’t take human biology into consideration. These people are obsessed with following strict dietary regimes, literally staving themselves on a low calorie diet. This practice has been proven scientifically wrong many times over.
The emotional eaters - This category is the biggest category without a doubt. Each one of us has at certain times been an emotional eater. It is so easy to built an emotional relationship with food. Food will never let you down, people and relationships do. Food can be trusted in a world that seems to offer little trust. Sugary foods and drinks or chocolates will never shout and scream that they don’t want to be drank or eaten. With them you are safe and in total control. In a world that seems to lack certainty, pleasure, trust and truth you can always rely on food. Food is the missing link, the universal instant supplier of ALL the good feelings. It can even supply Santa Clause according to some advertisers. And who knows? Every time you drink a soft drink…Santa might just show up. Each and every time we (the fake persona) look for instant emotional gratification and fulfillment we EAT. This instant gratification leads to clogging our system, which leads to an anticlimax once the good feeling is gone. This sudden anticlimax requires a new dose of instant gratification, which leads to more eating, more clogging, and the down spiral is set in motion. Does this ring a bell? The only approach to emotional eating is to ask ourselves every time we get “ hungry for goodies” if we are hungry for food or for love, affection, and appreciation. More of this will follow in your daily progress journal.
The mind over matter thinkers and eaters - are people who rationalize everything. They know better and are always right. Furthermore, this category uses the power of their will and analyzes all the pros and cons of any situation before taking a decision. This category of people tends to follow the low calorie semi starvation diets because it seems so logical from the arithmetical point of view. One plus one plus one is three. How can the result of adding more components be greater that their sum? The synergy concept; the result of adding more components is greater that their sum - does not make sense to them. Perhaps these people are most at risk of falling ill quicker than the other categories because they are determined to follow through with what they think is the “ right thing “ to eat. After all, mind over matter is their credo.
In time we lost track of our real nature and have become what culture, family and community, circumstances, have made us believe we are. The Lite-Body® method is the journey that puts us back on track, letting our inner light shine through.
WE ARE BORN TO SHINE!
